AB People who received a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination had a lower risk of heart failure and blood clots in their veins and arteries after COVID-19 infection than those who had not been vaccinated, a recent study involving more than 20 million participants in Estonia, Spain, and the UK found.The magnitude of the lower risk—which ranged from a 45% to 81% relative risk reduction—was greatest during the first month after infection, although vaccinated participants had a reduced chance of these cardiovascular events through 1 year.
